Multipele recidieven: afbouwschema vancomycine: eerste week na therapie 250 mg 4 dd, tweede week 250 mg 2 dd, derde week 250 mg 1 dd, vervolgens nog 1-2 weken tweemaal per week vancomycine 250-500 mg po. Alternatieven zijn fidaxomicine (hoewel de werkzaamheid van dit middel voor dit specifieke klinische probleem niet is onderzocht), of transplantatie donorfaeces.
